Important financial-privacy notice

This Privacy Policy explains privacy practices for the website located at JeffreyLeek.com (the “Site”). It is a website privacy policy and does not replace any separate consumer financial privacy notice, loan disclosure, authorization, consent, or other notice that Geneva Financial, LLC may provide under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Regulation P, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, or other applicable financial-services laws.

This Site is operated for Jeff Leek, NMLS ID 303051, a Branch Manager and Mortgage Advisor with Geneva Financial, LLC, NMLS ID 42056 (“Geneva Financial,” “Jeff Leek,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” as applicable). We respect your privacy and are committed to handling personal information responsibly, transparently, and in accordance with applicable United States federal and state laws.

This Privacy Policy describes the information we collect through the Site, how we use and disclose it, the choices available to you, and how to contact us. By using the Site or submitting information through it, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected through this Site, including information submitted through contact forms, loan-fit tools, calculators, newsletter forms, chat or messaging features, and related online interactions.

This Privacy Policy does not necessarily apply to:

  • information collected through a separate secure mortgage application portal or loan-origination system;
  • information governed by a separate Geneva Financial consumer privacy notice;
  • employee, contractor, or business-to-business information handled outside this Site; or
  • third-party websites, platforms, or services that have their own privacy policies.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Site, we may collect the following categories of information.

Information you provide directly

  • Identifiers and contact information: name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, city, ZIP code, and similar contact details.
  • Inquiry and communication information: message content, preferred contact method, appointment requests, questions, feedback, and correspondence with us.
  • Mortgage and property-related information: desired loan type, purchase or refinance objective, approximate home price, down-payment range, current homeownership status, approximate property value, current mortgage balance, and similar information you choose to provide.
  • Eligibility-related information: information indicating possible eligibility for programs such as VA or HUD Section 184 loans, including veteran, active-duty, surviving-spouse, or tribal-membership status when you voluntarily provide it.
  • Newsletter information: email address, subscription preferences, and interactions with our email communications.
  • Any other information you voluntarily submit.

Do not send highly sensitive information

Do not send highly sensitive information through a general website form. Unless a form expressly states that it is a secure mortgage application, do not submit a Social Security number, full date of birth, bank-account number, payment-card number, tax return, government identification document, password, or complete financial statement through the Site. We may direct you to an approved secure system when this information is needed.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and network information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, language settings, and internet service provider.
  • Usage information: pages viewed, links clicked, referring page, dates and times of visits, session duration, form interactions, and navigation paths.
  • Approximate location: general location inferred from an IP address, such as city, state, or region.
  • Cookie and tracking information: identifiers and activity collected through cookies, pixels, tags, analytics tools, and similar technologies.
  • Security and diagnostic information: logs, error reports, fraud indicators, and information used to secure and maintain the Site.

Information from other sources

We may receive information from Geneva Financial, service providers, marketing partners, referral sources, public records, consumer-reporting agencies where authorized by law, identity-verification providers, and other parties involved in a mortgage inquiry or transaction.

3. Sources of Information

We may collect personal information:

  • directly from you;
  • automatically from your browser or device;
  • from Geneva Financial and its systems, personnel, affiliates, or service providers;
  • from referral partners or other persons you authorize;
  • from public, governmental, licensing, property, or real-estate records; and
  • from other sources permitted by applicable law.

4. How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

  • respond to your inquiries and provide requested information;
  • help identify mortgage programs or financing options that may fit your stated goals;
  • communicate with you by telephone, text message, email, or other requested method;
  • schedule appointments and provide customer service;
  • refer or transfer your inquiry to Geneva Financial systems, personnel, or authorized service providers;
  • support mortgage prequalification, application, origination, underwriting, processing, closing, servicing, quality-control, audit, or compliance activities where applicable;
  • send newsletters, market updates, mortgage information, and other marketing communications when permitted by law;
  • operate, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Site;
  • measure Site performance and understand visitor interactions;
  • detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity;
  • comply with legal, regulatory, licensing, recordkeeping, reporting, and enforcement obligations;
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims; and
  • carry out other purposes disclosed to you or authorized by you.

5. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients, as reasonably necessary and permitted by law:

  • Geneva Financial: including its employees, loan officers, processors, underwriters, compliance personnel, affiliates, and authorized representatives.
  • Mortgage-transaction participants: such as lenders, investors, servicers, title and escrow companies, appraisers, insurers, government agencies, settlement providers, real-estate professionals, verification providers, and other parties involved in evaluating or completing a transaction.
  • Service providers: including website hosts, software providers, customer-relationship-management systems, email and messaging vendors, analytics providers, security providers, document and cloud-storage providers, and professional advisers.
  • Advertising and analytics partners: where such technologies are used and where disclosure is permitted by law and consistent with your privacy choices.
  • Governmental and legal recipients: regulators, courts, law enforcement, licensing bodies, auditors, or other parties when required or permitted by law.
  • Business-transaction recipients: parties involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
  • Other parties at your direction or with your consent.

We may also disclose aggregated or deidentified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, subject to applicable law.

6. Sale, Sharing, and Targeted Advertising

We do not sell personal information for money.

Some state privacy laws use the terms “sell,” “share,” or “targeted advertising” broadly and may treat certain disclosures involving advertising cookies, pixels, or similar technologies as a sale or sharing even when no money is exchanged. To the extent we use such technologies and applicable law provides an opt-out right, you may exercise that right through any “Privacy Choices” or cookie-preference tool made available on the Site, by enabling a legally recognized universal opt-out mechanism such as Global Privacy Control, or by contacting us as described below.

We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, pixels, tags, local storage, web beacons, and similar technologies to operate and secure the Site, remember preferences, understand traffic, measure performance, and support communications or advertising.

Strictly necessaryEnable core Site functions, security, fraud prevention, network management, and form submission.
FunctionalRemember settings or choices and improve usability.
AnalyticsMeasure visits, traffic sources, user interactions, and Site performance.
AdvertisingMeasure campaigns or personalize advertising where enabled and legally permitted.

You may control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, the Site’s cookie-preference tool. Blocking some cookies may affect Site functionality. A browser’s “Do Not Track” setting is not standardized; however, where required by applicable law, we process recognized universal opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control as requests to opt out of covered sales, sharing, or targeted advertising.

8. Calls, Text Messages, and Email

When you provide a telephone number, email address, or preferred contact method, you authorize us and Geneva Financial to respond to your inquiry using the contact information you supplied, subject to applicable law and the consent language presented at the point of collection.

Consent to receive marketing calls or text messages is not a condition of purchasing any property, good, or service. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency may vary. You may request that marketing text messages stop by replying STOP. You may request assistance by replying HELP or contacting us. Transactional or servicing communications may continue where permitted or required by law.

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us. We may still send non-promotional messages relating to an active inquiry, application, transaction, legal requirement, security issue, or service request.

9. Mortgage and Financial Information

Information collected in connection with a mortgage application, credit decision, or customer relationship may constitute nonpublic personal information under federal financial-privacy law. Such information may be governed by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Regulation P, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other financial-services requirements, as applicable.

When required, Geneva Financial will provide a separate consumer financial privacy notice describing its collection, use, disclosure, and safeguarding of nonpublic personal information, along with any rights to limit certain disclosures. This Site Privacy Policy is supplemental and should be read together with any notice provided during the mortgage process.

For Geneva Financial’s broader security and privacy information, visit Geneva Financial Security and Privacy.

10. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, maintain business and transaction records, respond to inquiries, comply with mortgage, lending, licensing, anti-fraud, tax, recordkeeping, and other legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and protect our rights.

Retention periods vary based on the type of information, the nature of the relationship, whether an application or transaction proceeds, legal requirements, and operational needs. We may retain deidentified or aggregated information for longer where permitted by law.

11. Information Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, acquisition, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures may include access controls, secure transmission, system monitoring, vendor oversight, authentication controls, employee training, incident-response procedures, and other safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

No website, network, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for using appropriate care when communicating online and for protecting your own devices and accounts.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to:

  • confirm whether we process your personal information;
  • request access to or a copy of certain personal information;
  • request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • request deletion of certain personal information;
  • request portability of certain personal information;
  • opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling;
  • limit certain uses or disclosures of sensitive personal information where applicable;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • appeal a denial of a privacy request where applicable; and
  • exercise privacy rights without unlawful discrimination.

These rights do not apply in every circumstance. For example, information regulated by federal financial-privacy law may be exempt from some state consumer-privacy-law provisions, and we may retain information when required or permitted by law.

How to submit a request

Submit a request using one of the following methods:

Please state that you are making a privacy request and describe the right you wish to exercise. We may need to verify your identity and residency before completing a request. We will use information submitted for verification only for verification, security, fraud-prevention, and compliance purposes.

Where permitted by law, an authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf. We may require proof of authorization and may ask you to confirm the request directly. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
